Capella University is currently hiring for part-time adjunct faculty in our School of Business who have teaching and dissertation committee service at doctoral level.


We are very interested in individuals with strong research and methods experience who can also truly embrace the notion of working on a dynamic team.  If you have the time, passion and academic or professional/executive/managerial expertise, we can help guide you to becoming a great faculty member!


Experience:

  • Educational experience – a doctoral degree earned from a regionally accredited institution in business or in a related field
  • Doctoral degree in business, management, accounting, global operations and supply chain management, HR management, business intelligence, leadership, strategy and innovation, project management, or information technology management
  • Professional experience in one or more of the specializations in the Capella University DBA program
  • Deep understanding of doctoral research methodologies
  • Experience chairing a doctoral dissertation committee is preferred.

Qualifications

Education:

A doctoral degree earned from a regionally accredited institution in business or in a related field

 

Location


Many of our positions, including this role, are designed to be remote "home office" settings. 


Employees working out of a home office are responsible for providing an appropriate and safe office space, office furniture and organization, communication tools, and related items. These include: 

  • arranging for high speed internet connection, printer and a dedicated phone line for business use. Specifics regarding expense coverage and reimbursement vary based on individual position categories. Capella will not provide office equipment or on-site set up assistance.  
  • the environment must be free from distractions and enable a highly productive and professional work environment.  
  • as with on-site positions, our off-site positions require that the majority of the time will be spent using a telephone, PC and monitors. 
  • any and all daycare arrangements must be made so that employees are not working while providing care for children or other family members at home. 
  • there are minimal lifting requirements unless otherwise noted.
